Venetian plaster is presented under different names such as: Tadelakt, Beton ciré, Concrete plaster, Stucco etc.

We purchase this unique material under the name Sienna Sasso which is made in the Netherlands by Kleurstuc.nl.
They have developed a beautiful waterproof product that has a wide application for both bathroom and interior.

Sienna Sasso is natural stone in stucco. With its glossy polished surface and colors from nature, it is the most artistic stucco variant of Kleurstuc.nl. It is unique in the Netherlands.
The stucco thickness of Sienna Sasso is only about 2-3mm. This is built up in several material layers:
1. the base mortar - with a large proportion of Sienna sand and finely ground Carrara marble - forms the stony mass and determines the structure.
2. color silicates are applied on this. This is not a paint, it is liquid quartz with pigments that bonds with the mineral layer below.
3. on top of that, lime is polished. That gives color, shine and depth.
The layers together form 1 whole. After a gradual hardening process via absorption of CO2 from the air, it is one calcareous rock layer. You cannot scratch off skins or layers.

De stucdikte van Sienna Sasso is slechts zo'n 2-3mm. Deze wordt in meerdere materiaallagen opgebouwd:
1. de basis mortel - met een groot aandeel aan Sienna zand en fijngemalen Carrara marmer - vormt de steenachtige massa en bepaalt de structuur.
2. hierop worden kleursilicaten aangebracht. Dit is geen verf, het is vloeibaar kwarts met pigmenten dat bindingen aangaat met de minerale laag eronder.
3. daarbovenop wordt kalk gepolijst. Dat geeft kleur, glans en diepte.
De lagen vormen samen 1 geheel. Na een geleidelijk uithardingsproces via opname van CO2 uit de lucht is het één kalkhoudende steenlaag. Je kan er geen schilletjes of laagjes van af krabben.
